Updated:
Messages began to circulate on social networks this Sunday claiming that the journalist and founder of CM&, Yamid Amat, had died.
However, his son, journalist Yamid Amat Serna, also denied the information through his social networks.
My father’s health is progressing satisfactorily. The medical reports, at the moment, are favorable, which we share with great enthusiasm. His family and friends continue to accompany him in his recovery with optimism and tranquility. Thank you all again for your interest and love.

The message was published on his X account, in the midst of the versions that began to spread about the state of health of the renowned communicator.
So far, the official information known about Yamid Amat’s health indicates that he remains under medical care. The Santa Fe de Bogotá Foundation had reported that the journalist was in critical condition with a reserved prognosis.
The family has been in charge of providing updates on his evolution. On September 25, Yamid Amat Serna reported that his father was progressing positively and was continuing to receive medical care.
In a statement, the Santa Fe Foundation indicated that Amat “is hospitalized at the institution, with a satisfactory clinical evolution and a favorable response to the medical management established.”
Information related to the journalist’s evolution will be delivered by the clinic with prior permission from the family.
