
The ministry has published a press release saying that in the process of this survey, the historical and cultural structure of the region, historical monuments, earthworks, streets, roads and other important urban elements have been identified, established and documented.
According to the information of the newspaper, information about the historical background and current situation of the region has been collected by recording the geographical locations of the important elements through GPS, taking technical photos and distributing questionnaires and face-to-face interviews among the residents of the region.
The source added that the collected information will be used as a basis for the accurate analysis of the current situation of the region, the arrangement of specialized and scientific maps and the protection, revival and sustainable management of the historical region.
In the press release, it was revealed that according to the work plan of the Department of Protection of Ancient Cities, after this, the same survey and field studies will be conducted in the Moradkhani historical area of the second district of Kabul city, in order to provide the necessary information for the systematic registration, documentation and protection of historical and cultural heritage.
