Turmush — The next hero of the “Ours Abroad” column is 22-year-old Kyrgyzstani Sardarbek Sulaymanov.
Sardarbek currently lives in Denmark and works on a dairy farm. Born on August 24, 2003, originally from the Nookat district of the Osh region.
In 2020, he graduated from the boarding lyceum “Nookat Bilimkanasy” and entered the Kyrgyz National Agrarian University, where he graduated from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in 2025. By profession he is a veterinarian.
Already in his third year, Sardarbek began to think about what he would do after studying, where he would work.
“Having heard about Denmark from my friend Abdybapov Omurbek, I decided to go to this country and began to make efforts. I worked hard for two years, learned English, passed exams, and in the end I was able to come. I’ve been in Denmark for four months now,” he said.
S. Suilaimanov spoke briefly about his work:
“Now I’m milking cows. On the farm side, we have 1,200 Jersey dairy cows and we milk them using machines.
The people of Denmark are very hospitable, patient, and hardworking. I was struck by their extreme simplicity. The difference with Kyrgyzstan, in my opinion, lies in the insufficient depth of their faith.”
The veterinarian shared his funny story:
“When I first came here, I couldn’t buy a train ticket. I boarded the train without a ticket, and when I saw the controllers, I hid in the toilet. I thought that they had left, I went out, and they were waiting for me. They asked to see the ticket. He said that he could not buy, and explained that he had come for the first time, but despite this, I was given a fine.
There are about 200 of us Kyrgyz in Denmark. From time to time we get together, play, celebrate holidays and dispel homesickness.”
He shared his goal for the future: to gain experience for 5 years and then return to his homeland to develop the Kyrgyz agricultural sector.
Sardarbek is the eldest in the family, after him there are three younger brothers and two sisters.
