Two goals from Acacia Small powered Paradise to their latest victory in the Barbados Football Association’s Women’s League on Sunday.
Playing at Valery, St Michael, Small netted in the 20th and 30th minutes, as Paradise remained unbeaten following a 2-0 win over R.F. Prime Academy.
Empire kept up the pressure on the leaders in the night’s other game, as they eased past Mavericks 6-1.
Towanna Clarke opened the scoring for Empire in the fifth minute, before doubling their lead in the 12th minute.
Laurell Romain grabbed the first of her two goals in the 25th minute, before Mavericks pulled a goal back through Tiana Sealy just before half-time.
Clarke completed her hat-trick in the 50th minute and Romain scored her second goal three minutes later, as Empire took total control of the game.
An 84th-minute own goal dealt a further blow to Mavericks’ fortunes as Empire closed out an emphatic win.
In Saturday’s games at Valery, Whitehall claimed a rare win, as they defeated Fitts Village 2-1, while Police defeated Technique 1-0.
