According to the news of Bakhtar Agency; Officials, businessmen and investors of both provinces participated in this meeting and the opportunities of development of commercial transactions, establishment of joint markets, exchange of products and joint investment were discussed.
Qari Mohammad Naseem Izzat, deputy governor of Jawzjan, and Alisher Dostjanov, deputy governor of Khwarizm, emphasized the importance of developing economic and trade relations between Afghanistan and Uzbekistan, and discussed opportunities for developing cooperation between the private sectors of both countries.
Jawzjan Industry and Trade Chairman Maulvi Niaz Mohammad Tawab said that the province has significant potential in the fields of water, electricity, gas and mining and can provide suitable opportunities for industrial and productive investment.
At the end of the meeting, initial agreements and contracts worth about 15 million US dollars were signed in carpets, stoves, construction materials and some other industrial and commercial areas.
According to the officials, the mentioned contracts will be finalized after the completion of the necessary stages by the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the confirmation of the conditions accepted by both sides.
