The National Telecommunications Commission (Conatel) This Saturday, it notified Internet provider companies in Venezuela to enable access to a set of digital platforms and web portals.
This was announced by the organization through its Instagram social network account, after pointing out that the decision is a product of the progress made in the dialogue spaces that are taking place in the country.
“This provision responds to the contributions and progress generated in the different spaces for dialogue that are developed in the country: between the delegation of the National Government and the former deputies of the National Assembly of 2015, in addition to the Program for Peace and Democratic Coexistence,” said Conatel.
The regulatory body specified that companies must make adjustments to their infrastructure, in order to enable the services included in the measure.
“Consequently, the telecommunications regulatory entity has proceeded to formally notify the Internet service provider companies that operate in the national territory for the execution of technical adaptations to their infrastructures, allowing the regular availability of said digital spaces”he indicated.
Conatel did not offer further details about which platforms and web pages make up the group that must be enabled. Nor did the statement establish a specific date for suppliers to complete the technical modifications.
For this reason, the restoration of access will be subject to the execution of the changes required by each of the companies that provide Internet service in the national territory.

Meanwhile, A total of 66 domains have been unblocked in at least one internet service provider (ISP) in Venezuela in the last few hours. However, 149 domains remain censored, showing that the unblocking is partial.
VE Sin Filtro detailed that among the domains that remain blocked is El Nacional. “66 domains were unblocked on at least one provider; not all Internet service providers have responded in the same way”reported in X.
In this sense, he noted: “It is clear that the government is determined to censor El Nacional, Armando Info, La Patilla, NTN24, Infobae and more.”
The organization detailed that, of the 149 blocked websites, 37 correspond to news media and another 57 to informational domains.
