Mustafa: It would be politically healthy for the presidential candidate to be proposed by the opposition

The deputies of the Assembly of Kosovo have only 9 more days available for the election of the president, or the country will go to early elections, according to the decision of the Constitutional Court.
But how does the former prime minister of Kosovo, Isa Mustafa, see this situation? The latter says that in the current situation, the country needs much more to have consolidated state bodies.
“It is the Hague process, dealing with major geopolitical changes and the difficult economic situation, which require an organized state and clear policies. As for the profile of the president, it has been determined by the Constitution; he/she becomes non-partisan the moment he/she is elected, without taking office, while he/she becomes consensual for the majority when he/she receives the necessary votes”Mustafa told IndeksOnline.
Furthermore, he said that he is of the opinion that it would be politically healthy to reach an agreement that the candidate for president be proposed by the opposition.
Mustafa says that the vote is free will and the responsibility of the deputies.
