THEIR CAR expands significantly and on 1 October opens a new Tire Center and Quick Service at Nukappiakuluk 6, in the former Blue Water warehouse on the old airport road.
The background is simple: It has become too crowded on Industrivez.
DERES AUTO today changes the wheels of more than 1,500 cars twice a year, while the company also services a large number of cars all year round. This puts considerable pressure on capacity, especially when the seasons for summer and winter tires change.
“We have simply outgrown the space on Industrivevj. When we have to handle changing wheels on more than 1,500 cars twice a year, at the same time as servicing our other customers, more space is needed” says foreman Qillaq Christensen.
Service while the customer is waiting
THEIR AUTO launches at the same time THEIR AUTO+where customers get access to Quick Service, among other things for the half-yearly service inspections.
Here, the car can be serviced for a fixed price while the customer waits.
This means that the customer does not necessarily have to spend time first handing over the car and later coming back to pick it up. The goal is to make it easier and faster to be a customer at DERES AUTO.

“We know that customers’ time is important. If we can manage a regular service inspection while the customer is waiting, it saves both the customer time and an extra trip back and forth. This is the type of service we would like to develop even more“ says Qillaq Christensen.
An investment in future customer service
The relocation of part of the activities to Nukappiakulik 6 must also help to ensure that DERES AUTO can keep up with the continued development in the number of customers and cars.

“We don’t just want more space for space’s sake. We want to use the extra capacity to give customers a better experience. The goal is faster service, less waiting time and greater flexibility” concludes Qillaq Christensen.
