Mid- to upper-level moisture and instability together with a tropical wave, are expected to continue affecting mainly the southern Lesser Antilles today, resulting in scattered showers and thunderstorms. Across Dominica, partly cloudy to cloudy skies with a few showers are expected during the day. An increase in shower activity, which could be moderate to heavy at times with isolated thunderstorms, is expected from after midnight into Monday morning. A flood watch may be issued tonight. People in areas at risk of flooding, landslides and falling rocks should stay updated, remain alert and exercise caution during the overnight period.
Relatively light winds and daytime heating are expected to support uncomfortably hot days and warm nights. Stay hydrated, keep cool and avoid prolonged outdoor activities during peak sunshine hours.
Seas are expected to be slight to moderate over the next 24 hours, with wave heights reaching near 7 feet along the east coast and 3 feet along the west.
