At 2,572 meters of altitude, within the domain of Pal Arinsal, La Massana wants to turn one of the highest points of the parish into something more than a viewpoint. The top of the Cape it will host a new scenic space with 360-degree views, astronomical observations, cultural activities and a themed trail that will begin before reaching the summit. The project, valued at around 837,000 euros, will begin to take shape before winter and, weather permitting, could be operational next summer.
The viewpoint, which has been designed by thearchitect Toni Riberaygua and engineer Carles Puigwill be made up of thirteen circular rings that will grow outwards and draw a concave structure. It is not a casual form. The intention is that the space also functions as one mountain amphitheater, with bleachers and sheltered areas which allow to host shows or sky observation sessions. “What we wanted to create is a mountain scene”, she summarized Minister of Tourism, Mònica Solé.
