Ilisimatusarfik’s board has hired the educational institution’s new vice chancellor, who will be vice chancellor Mari Kleist’s deputy.
Mitdlarak Lennert, who is educated in the primary school field and has a PhD, takes over as vice-rector at Ilisimatusarfik on 1 October. This is stated by Ilisimatusarfik in a press release.
Mitdlarak Lennert is not an unknown face at Ilisimatusarfik. She is currently an assistant professor at the Department of Arctic Social Sciences & Economics and since her PhD from Ilisimatusarfik in 2021 has contributed to both research, teaching and the development of Ilisimatusarfik’s educations, writes Ilisimatusarfik.

In the transition to the position of vice-chancellor, Mitdlarak Lennert will continue to carry out and complete his duties with teaching and other obligations at the Department for Arctic Social Affairs and Economics this semester, informs Ilisimatusarfik.
