In a press release, the said Ministry explained that in this meeting, UNAMA Deputy Director Bruno Lemarki said that the representatives of the relevant UN agencies assessed the living conditions of the returnees during their visit to different provinces and collected information about their needs.
According to him, joint work of international organizations and Islamic Emirate institutions is needed for the resettlement of the returnees and he mentioned that currently the United Nations organizations are providing assistance to thousands of needy families and it is necessary to expand this series.
Continuing the conversation, he explained that the international community should pay attention to the needs of Afghans and noted that UNAMA is ready to cooperate with the Islamic Emirate in technical areas in solving the problems of the returnees. Mr. Lemarki emphasized on joint work in humanitarian fields and shared some presentations.
At the same time Maulvi Abdul Kabir welcomed the UNAMA Vice President and accompanying delegation and thanked the United Nations for its assistance to Afghans in various fields.
He added that the Islamic Emirate has assigned tasks to many agencies to solve the problems of the returnees and the Islamic Emirate welcomes the cooperation and assistance of UNAMA.
According to him, the series of providing aid to thousands of returnee families is going on and he asked for the help of aid organizations.
Also, Reverend Maulvi Abdul Kabir mentioned that the plan for the transfer of thousands of internally displaced families is being implemented.
He also said that facilities have been created for the work of United Nations agencies and called UNAMA’s presentations important.
