Young people will have an opportunity to explore career options, connect with professionals, and learn about preparing for the changing world of work when JCI Dominica hosts Future Fest 2026 on Friday, September 25.
The event will run from 10 AM to 2 PM at the Windsor Park Sports Stadium under the theme, “Navigating Careers in a Changing World: Adapt, Innovate, Succeed.”
JCI Dominica says the event is designed to give young people a practical and interactive setting to explore career possibilities, develop connections, and gain information that can help them make decisions about their future.
Future Fest will feature interactive booths, youth activities, networking opportunities, wellness initiatives, educational sessions and giveaways. Professionals, organisations and other stakeholders are expected to participate.
Committee Chair Shakell Charles said the initiative is intended to connect young people with people and resources that can assist with their career and personal development.
“Future Fest 2026 is being organized as a dynamic platform where young people can explore their future, discover opportunities, meet professionals, build connections and gain practical knowledge to help them navigate their future, careers and their personal development.”
Charles said JCI Dominica also wants to encourage young people to take an active role in determining their own paths rather than viewing preparation for the future solely through the lens of formal education.
“JCI Dominica believes that young people should simply be prepared for the future. They should be given the tools and opportunities to actively create it.”
The organizers say this year’s event will build on previous editions by providing more opportunities for participants to ask questions, explore different possibilities, and engage directly with professionals.
The release said that the career exploration will be combined with activities focused on wellness and personal development, giving attendees an opportunity to learn while making new connections.
