A 31-year-old Mayaro man died early Saturday after he was injured during a fight at a bar in St Ann’s Village.
Police said Romario Gonzales, also known as “Bucky”, was at a bar on Guayaguayare Road around 12:20 a.m. when he got into an argument with two other men.
Gonzales reportedly stabbed both men during the altercation. Bystanders intervened and the two injured men were taken to the Mayaro Health Facility.
Gonzales was later taken to hospital by a passer-by, where he was treated for his injuries. He died around 1 a.m.
Officers of the Region II Homicide Bureau are continuing investigations.
