
Mullah Abdul Ghani Bilal, head of Rozgan village reconstruction and development, said that these dams were built in Dehek of Tarinkot city, Kuri of Chinarto district, Kunj of Chore district and Darband desert of Dehrawad district.
According to him, the check dam is 53 meters long, 5 meters high and has the capacity to store 50,000 cubic meters of water; Kori Checkdam is 45 meters long, 3 meters high and 8,000 cubic meters; The corner dam is 47 meters long, 3 meters high and 15,000 cubic meters; And the check dam of Darband desert is 63 meters long, 3 meters high and has the capacity to store 18 thousand cubic meters of water.
He added that during the implementation of these projects, 6522 professional and non-professional workers have been provided employment.
According to him, with the construction of check dams, seasonal rains and water loss will be prevented and it will also help in raising the level of underground water.
At the same time, the residents of the area called the construction of these dams an important step for water management and irrigation of agricultural lands and said that after the completion of these projects, the loss of rainwater will be prevented and the level of underground water will increase.
