Tonight around 20:25, a traffic accident was reported in the village of Vlashnje on the road towards the village of Kobaj, in Prizren. According to the first information, a 21-year-old pedestrian was hit by a vehicle, and then died.
Shaqir Bytyqi, spokesman for the regional police of Prizren, confirmed the news for Express.
“As a result of the accident, she suffered bodily injuries and was sent for medical treatment to the General Hospital of Prizren. Around 9:00 p.m., the Police was notified by the General Hospital of Prizren that the injured woman could not cope with her injuries and as a result she died,” said Bytyqi.
He added that “relevant police units immediately went to the scene. The suspect was arrested and, in consultation with the supervising prosecutor, all necessary investigative actions were taken to fully clarify the circumstances of the accident.”
