The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Imma Tor Fauswill be in charge of giving the official speech during the investiture ceremony of the new captains regents of San Marinowhich will take place onOctober 1. Tor has been chosen as the official speaker for the event, one of the main institutional ceremonies of the European microstateaccording to various media in the country.
The ceremony will serve to invest William Casali i Gerardo Giovagnoli as captains regents for the period including between October 1, 2026 and April 1, 2027. The investiture ceremony of the captains regents is one of the most unique institutional traditions of San Marino. The two captains regents jointly exercise the maximum representation of the Republic for a term of six months. The choice of Tor as speaker occurs at a particularly relevant time for the relations between Andorra and San Marinowho have jointly negotiated the association agreement with the European Union. As it has already progressed the head of government, Xavier Spot, the signature of the agreement is scheduled for the next few weeksbetween the end of September and the beginning of October.
