The “Schpektakel Vaduz” will take place for the first time in Vaduz from May 4th to 9th, 2026. The liact ag festival takes place over six evenings with over 20 genres and more than 230 participants from five nations. At a media conference on April 24th, organizer Georges Lüchinger presented the program items – some with the artists themselves.
Monday: Appenzell folk music
The start on Monday, May 4th will be organized by Nicolas Senn, dulcimer player and presenter of the SRF program “Potzmusig”. He presents three Appenzell formations: the sibling duo Enderlin-Chicks, the Bergwaldchörli Enggenhütten and his own project “Dulcimer meets Boogie Woogie” with pianist Elias Bernet. All three formations are rooted in the Appenzell yodelling tradition, but combine it with modern or popular elements.
Wednesday: Concert with Peter Kraus
On Wednesday, May 6th, the Austrian musician Peter Kraus will give his first concert in Liechtenstein. Kraus, who became known in 1958 as one of the first rock’n’roll singers in German-speaking countries, is now 87 years old and continues to perform live. He comes to Vaduz with his band; According to their own statement, they only play live. The concert is considered sold out. The Swiss circus entrepreneur Rolf Knie has been announced as a visitor.
Friday: Darts tournament with international professionals
The premiere of the Prinzli Darts Open, an invitational tournament in the Premier League format with eight players from four countries, will take place on Friday. The English PDC professional Scott “Shaggy” Williams, who reached the semi-finals of the World Championships at Alexandra Palace in London in 2024, and Stefan Bellmont, the most successful Swiss darter in the PDC system to date, are seeded. Bellmont beat five-time world champion Raymond van Barneveld at the 2025 World Cup.
Also taking part are the German PDC professional Dominik Grüllich and Franco Giuliani from Austria, reigning amateur world champion. A further four places are reserved for players from the region, including the reigning Liechtenstein champions.
Saturday: brass music and DJ
The final program on Saturday will be performed by the Amtzell music band from Allgäu together with DJ Fred Tee. The band includes over 70 active members and performs in three sets. According to the band, the program will range from traditional brass music to current hits. The stage is set up in a U-shape, which is unusual for brass band concerts.
