A 27-year-old man was abducted after being struck and assaulted in Bamboo Settlement, Bamboo #3, Valsayn, on Monday night.
Police said Mark Singh was walking south along Bamboo Boulevard near Ramnarine Trace around 8:12 p.m. when a silver Nissan Tiida with partial registration 713 came into contact with him, causing him to fall.
A masked man then exited the rear left passenger side of the vehicle and chased Singh north along the roadway.
Police said Singh fell again, after which the man allegedly beat him about his body and forced him into the Tiida.
The vehicle then drove north with Singh inside.
Police later said that around 12:10 a.m. on Tuesday, Singh was walking along the Western Main Road near the Carenage Police Station when he saw a marked police vehicle and reported the incident.
He was taken to the St James Medical Infirmary, where he received medical attention. He was listed in stable condition.
Investigations are continuing.
