Ziza Pajaziti speaks: How I went to prison twice for meeting with Haxhiu. I have a roommate, we had a family meeting – Shqip.com

Through the security cameras, the Prosecutor’s Office of Korça has focused on taking the testimony of some of the prison guards, as well as questioning the main protagonists themselves, Laert Haxhiu, Vladimir Kurti and the Kosovar model, Ziza Pajaziti.

In her confession given to the prosecution, Ziza Pajaziti testified that:

“…I am currently employed by “Well Farmaci”, in the position of marketing manager in the city of Pristina, Kosovo. This is my second job, as my main job is modeling. Regarding the event for which I presented myself and am giving my explanations, that is, the meetings I held with the convict Laert Haxhiu on June 12, 2025 and June 13, 2025, Thursday and Friday, I want to clarify that I and Laert Haxhiu have had a stable cohabitation relationship. We have formalized this relationship with documents, namely the Cohabitation Agreement, signed before the notary Bledar Zake on October 6, 2025. On June 12, 2025, I went to meet my cohabitant at the Drenova prison. After I appeared at the checkpoint, I was asked who I was going to meet of my roommate, Laert Haxhiu. After that, they provided me with a small sheet, which I didn’t read to see what it contained. I left my personal belongings in the security safes and then I went to a building inside the prison, where I underwent a personal search…”

Furthermore, Ziza Pajaziti testified that she continued towards the meeting room, passing through a corridor, the location of which she did not remember precisely.

“…I was accompanied there by a police officer and, then, my roommate, Laert Haxhiu, was also accompanied to the same room, with whom I had a normal family meeting. That day I stayed in the city of Korça and the next day, i.e. on June 13, 2025, I went to the Drenova prison again. I followed the same procedure that I explained above and, this time, I gave the name of Laert Haxhiu at the checkpoint. I didn’t know any other name of the convicted person and I want to emphasize that I didn’t give any name other than Laert Haxhiu. I don’t know what mistake might have happened, as I read in the media. Then I continued the procedure of checking and entering the meeting room, where I was accompanied to a room with a table and a chair, which surprised me a lot I stayed for a while, which I don’t remember, I left the premises of the Drenova Prison and left…” Ziza Pajaziti told the prosecutor.

The Kosovar model testified that she no longer went to see Laerti in prison, due to the publicity this case received and due to the severe psychological condition she experienced as a result of the public exposure of her private life.

Meanwhile, in connection with this case, following the investigative actions, Laert Haxhiu, sentenced to life imprisonment, was specifically questioned, in the capacity of the person who shows useful circumstances for the criminal offense, who, among other things, stated that:

“…regarding the circumstances of how Ziza Pajaziti entered to meet me, I know nothing about the procedures followed by the prison administration in such cases. To my knowledge, on the dates you are asking me about, this citizen entered normally, just like any other citizen who conducts meetings with family members. I was not contacted in advance by any prison employee, but they only accompanied me on these two dates to carry out the meeting. I want to I clarify that, on both of these dates, I entered the meeting, as I was informed that I had a meeting and was accompanied for its development. In both of these cases, the meetings held by me were ordinary meetings, that is, in a room with a table and chairs, and not special meetings, that is, meetings provided for spouses or cohabitants. I do not remember whether the rooms were equipped with cameras or not, as I remember that at that time the rooms were being reconstructed. specifically, they were being painted…”.

Furthermore, Haxhiu asserted that: “…I want to emphasize that everything has been normal and I have only had normal meetings with Ziza Pajaziti, who is currently my roommate, with a regular notarial declaration, and with whom I had an early acquaintance and cohabitation relationship…”.

In connection with this scandal, the convict Vladimir Kurti was also questioned, who claimed that:

“…I do not know the Kosovar model Ziza Pajaziti and I have not had any meeting with this citizen. Also, I have not asked for a meeting with her. I declare that I have not held family meetings for about 4 months…”.
