Muscat: The number of visitors to the Khareef Dhofar between June 21 and August 31, 2026, rose by 8.6 percent to reach 1,116,051, compared to 1,027,255 visitors during the same period in 2025.
Preliminary estimates released by the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI) indicate that Omani visitors totaled 816,719, accounting for 73.2 percent of the total.
Visitors from Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries were 183,861, while visitors of other nationalities were 115,471.
Data showed that 284,667 visitors arrived in Dhofar Governorate by air through the end of August 2026.
Meanwhile, 831,384 visitors arrived via land crossings, marking a 7.6 percent increase compared to land arrivals during the same period in 2025.
Visitors during the month of August 2026 alone totaled 643,602, representing 57.7 percent of the total number of visitors.
