The Ministry of Culture announced, through its Instagram account, the opening of the call for the 2025 National Film Fund Competition, aimed at natural or legal persons of Panamanian nationality registered in the National Registry of the Cinematographic and Audiovisual Industry.
Applications will be open from May 15, at 8:00 am, until June 15, at 4:00 pm. Those interested must complete the online application and send their projects in accordance with the established requirements.
The National Film Fund Competition was created through the Law 16 of April 27, 2012according to the website of the General Directorate of Cinema of Panama, for the promotion of cinematographic activity in the country.
It has a budget of 2.3 million annually. The resources of this fund are granted on merit, to encourage and stimulate the production and realization of new Panamanian cinematographic works, as well as the promotion and dissemination of national cinematography.
