The Ministry of National Education canceled Resolution No. 20 dated July 28, 2026, which included timings and procedures for the general and technological secondary education stage, in accordance with a new Resolution No. 36 dated September 9, 2026.
The new decision, signed by the Minister of National Education, was based on the outcomes of the Council of Ministers held on September 6, 2026, which explicitly stipulated the cancellation of the previous decision regarding the timings and procedures approved in the general and technological secondary education stage.
Pursuant to the first article of Resolution No. 36, Resolution No. 20 dated July 28, 2026 was cancelled, while the second article stipulated the cancellation of all circulars related to the provisions of the canceled decision, starting from the effective date of the new decision.
On the other hand, the Ministry of National Education confirmed that the provisions of Resolution No. 186 of March 23, 2006, which includes the timings and procedures for the general and technological secondary education stage, remain in effect.
The new decision, according to what was stated in its text, means a return to implementing the provisions of Resolution No. 186, after canceling the amendments included in Resolution No. 20 issued last July, along with canceling the circulars associated with it.
The decision stressed that all concerned parties are required to implement its provisions, provided that it is published in the official bulletin of the Ministry of National Education.
This decision comes within the framework of resetting the organization of timings and transactions for the general and technological secondary education stage, following the recent outcomes of the Council of Ministers.
