Senamhi predicts scattered drizzles in Metropolitan Lima during the next few days | photos | latest

The National Service of Meteorology and Hydrology of Peru (Senamhi) predicted the presence of scattered drizzle on the central and southern coast of the country until September 13. The phenomenon will occur mainly from Lima to Tacna and will be accompanied by an increase in cloudiness and humidity in different sectors near the coast.

In Metropolitan Lima, the highest accumulated precipitation would be recorded in the districts located in the southern area of ​​the capital, where they could reach values ​​close to 2 millimeters (mm).

In other sectors of Lima, rainfall would accumulate between 0.5 and 1mmaccording to the forecast of the agency attached to the Ministry of the Environment (Minam).

According to Senamhi specialists, meteorological conditions are related to the intensification of winds coming from the south off the Peruvian coast. This scenario will favor an increase in humidity and cloud cover, conditions that can lead to the occurrence of drizzle.

The meteorological agency also foresees the presence of fog or mist during the night, early morning and early morning hoursespecially in areas close to the coast. These conditions could reduce visibility in some coastal sectors.

However, during the afternoons there may be periods of sunshine at certain points on the coast, so weather conditions would vary throughout the day.

Furthermore, Senamhi reported that Between Saturday the 12th and Sunday the 13th, the wind speed will increase along the coast, from moderate to strong intensity.

“This phenomenon could generate dust and sand rising, as well as a reduction in horizontal visibility. Likewise, the presence of cloud cover accompanied by fog and mist is expected, especially in areas near the coast, and dispersed drizzles mainly during the night, early morning and early morning hours,” the institution indicated.
