WORKERS FROM TOBAGO assist in restoring the roof at Bethel Gospel Assembly

THE ROOF of the Bethel Gospel Assembly building in North Union is getting a face lift with help from a team from Tobago.The 19-member team arrived in St Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) from Tobago this week and is assisting with the repair work on building which was erected over a quarter of a century ago.

Ten members of the team arrived in the state on Monday August 17, 2026 while nine arrived on Wednesday. Senior Bishop of the Bethel Gospel Assembly Pastor Hollis Charles, told SEARCHLIGHT the roof of the two-storey building in North Union was damaged by Hurricane Beryl, and over time, had also been affected by sea blast, though it remained in use.
