The Dominica Coast Guard and Police have identified a body found at Calibishie Bay as 57-year-old Aaron Lewis of Woodford Hill.
His lifeless body was discovered and recovered from the sea in shallow waters along the shore at about 8:00 AM on Saturday, August 22, 2026.
Lewis, who resided in Calibishie, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police had earlier cordoned off the area as they began their initial investigations into the circumstances surrounding the discovery. Members of the public were also observed gathered nearby as law enforcement officers examined the scene.
According to information from the Commonwealth of Dominica Police Force (CDPF), Lewis’ body has since been taken to a funeral home, where it is being kept pending an autopsy.
The circumstances surrounding his death remain under investigation, and the cause of death has not yet been determined.
The CDPF is continuing its inquiries and has extended sincere condolences to Lewis’ family and friends.
