Dominican entrepreneur Marilyn A. Cuffy-Morris has launched a new annual initiative aimed at helping young people develop entrepreneurial skills, showcase their talents, and build stronger business networks.
The Annual MAANZ Studentpreneur Youth Showcase and Marketplace was officially launched on July 15, 2026, in observance of World Youth Skills Day, under the theme “Discover your talent. Build your future.”
According to the United Nations, World Youth Skills Day, observed annually on July 15, recognizes the importance of equipping young people with the skills needed for employment, decent work and entrepreneurship.
A press release from Cuffy-Morris said the event was designed to give young people opportunities to connect, exchange ideas and strengthen their business skills.
Organizers said participants were encouraged to network, take part in business and skills-based games, support one another by purchasing products from fellow entrepreneurs, collaborate on solving business challenges, identify solutions to common obstacles, and become part of a growing skills network and website. They were also invited to join the annual Studentpreneur movement, which aims to provide ongoing youth development initiatives.

Reportedly, several new initiatives were unveiled during the event, including the launch of the MAANZ Skills Website, which will allow skilled business owners and managers to promote their businesses while becoming part of a larger network of professionals.
Organizers also introduced the “Pain to Profits” podcast, where young entrepreneurs will have an opportunity to discuss challenges facing their businesses and receive guidance and practical solutions.
Other highlights included presentations by guest youth entrepreneurs, a Young Bosses Pitch Competition, where three participants presented business ideas and received prizes, a talent showcase and a creative youth health and safety initiative.
The showcase will now be held annually on World Youth Skills Day, with preparations already underway for next year’s event. Those who attended this year’s launch will be recognized as charter members of the movement and will receive green badges, while pink has been selected as next year’s official color.
Another feature of the launch was the debut of the movement’s theme song, “Be The Light.” According to organizers, the song encourages young people to believe in themselves, embrace their talents, remain strong in mind, body and spirit, and seize opportunities to improve their own lives and those of their families.

Cuffy-Morris also reaffirmed her commitment to supporting youth development and encouraged skilled professionals to register on the MAANZ Skills Website. She further invited entrepreneurs and members of the public to participate in the “Pain to Profits” podcast, which airs every Wednesday at 5:00 PM.
