
In the ceremony held for this purpose, the Minister of Rural Construction Affairs of the Ministry of Rural Development and Reconstruction, Mohammad Arsalah Khoruti, said that the said bridge is 260 meters long and all the construction work will be done according to the accepted engineering standards and using high quality construction materials.
He said that with the construction of the bridge, the problems of local residents will be solved, travel time will be shortened, commercial and social activities will be strengthened and people’s movement will be safe during floods.
According to him, this project is being implemented with the financial support of the Islamic Emirate at a cost of 91 million 242 thousand 568 Afghanis and it is scheduled to be completed and put into use within 24 months.
It is worth noting that before this, the construction of another 280-meter long bridge over the Helmand River in the Azan Nave area of Kajki District of Helmand Province was started at the cost of 180 million Afghanis.
