A man has been granted bail with surety after he was charged for stealing a car that was involved in an accident which ended with the death of 16-year-old Adin Baptiste.
The man was charged with larceny motor vehicle of a Hyundai Matrix by Cpl Gopaul of the Moruga Police Station and appeared before Master Sookraj Goswami the Princes Town AJIPA Court last Thursday.
The suspect pleaded not guilty and was granted $20,000 bail with surety.
As part of his bail conditions, the suspect is expected to report to the Moruga Police Station between the hours of 6 am to 6 pm the second Thursday of every month and remain at the given address.
He is expected to return to court on August 17 for the next hearing.
According to reports Adin -a form three student of the Moruga Secondary School – was sitting in the front left passenger side seat of the Hyundai Matrix when it crashed into an electricity pole.
