
According to information from the press office of the Ministry of Economic Affairs to Bakhtar News Agency; Mirwais Azizi, General Manager of Azizi Energy Investment Company, said that they have bought all the technical equipment for the production of 10,000 megawatts of electricity and will soon start the transportation to the country.
He added that in the near future, he will start the construction of a large cancer hospital in the country.
Also, the technical committee made up of the representatives of the relevant emirate agencies and Azizi Energy Investment Company under the leadership of the Economic Assistant of the Prime Minister has presented its report.
According to the report, 100 megawatts of solar power in Naghlu area of Kabul; Feasibility studies of 100 megawatt solar power projects in Barikab region of Parwan and 131 megawatt solar power projects in Ghazni have been completed and power purchase agreements have been signed.
The committee added in its report that the projects have actually started in the fields. In addition to this, there are discussions on the technical issues of 165 megawatts of electricity from coal in Takhar, 350 megawatts of electricity from coal in Baghlan, the construction of Naghlu and Ghazni substations, and the extension of the transmission line from Kabul’s Tarakhel area to Sanyas Sabz, which will be completed soon.
The said committee has also shared its suggestions for speeding up the work.
The Economic Deputy of the Prime Minister’s Department praised the achievements of the said committee and gave necessary instructions and recommendations to the relevant emirate agencies to speed up the work, to complete the remaining works in some areas within two weeks and to share the report with the position of the Economic Assistant.
At the end of his speech, Mulla Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund assured full cooperation to Azizi Energy Investment Company and asked them to complete their work in a good manner and on time.
