The 2026 FIFA World Cup is being co-hosted by the United States, Canada and Mexico, marking the first time the tournament has been staged by three nations.
It is also the first World Cup to feature 48 teams and 104 matches, making it the largest edition in the competition’s history. The tournament is being played across 16 host cities in North America, with the United States hosting most matches, Canada staging its first men’s World Cup fixtures and Mexico becoming the first country to host World Cup matches in three different editions.
