A 35-YEAR-OLD vendor from Glen who died in a hail of bullets at the weekend has been described by more than one person as easy going and quiet.
Sandre Matthias, was shot and killed at approximately 8:15 p.m. on Friday, July 10, 2026, in his community, making him the 23rd homicide in St Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) for 2026.
“He was my neighbour, a real quiet easy-going guy who went about his business and don’t trouble people,” one man told SEARCHLIGHT on Monday, July 13, 2026.
He said he has no idea why someone would want to kill Matthias and that he had never heard of him being involved in anything that would cause someone to take that kind judgement on him.
