MoIP Union Minister receives Bangladeshi Ambassador

Union Minister for Immigration and Population U Myint Kyaing received Dr Md Monwar Hossain, Ambassador of Bangladesh to Myanmar, at the Union Minister’s meeting room in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday evening.
They discussed visa-related matters between Myanmar and Bangladesh, border checkpoints between the two countries, cooperation between the two governments in repatriating displaced persons from Rakhine State, and the Ministry’s verification and response to reports submitted by Bangladesh regarding the process.
They also exchanged views on challenges in verifying and responding to the reports, the need to submit complete supporting documents, and ways to enhance cooperation in immigration control and the repatriation process. — MNA/MKKS
