The President of the Caribbean Court of Justice (CCJ), Honourable Mr Justice Winston Anderson, met with St Lucia’s Prime Minister, Honourable Philip J. Pierre, during a courtesy visit held on July 5, 2026, as regional leaders gathered for the Fifty-First Regular Meeting of the Conference of Heads of Government of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM).
According to a Caribbean Court of Justice (CCJ) press release, Justice Anderson was accompanied by Her Ladyship, the Honourable Justice Margaret Price-Findlay, Chief Justice of the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court and a Commissioner of the Regional Judicial and Legal Services Commission.
The meeting took place during Justice Anderson’s visit to St Lucia, where he attended the Opening Ceremony of the CARICOM Heads of Government meeting. His participation in the ceremony followed an invitation from the Conference, continuing the CCJ’s established practice of accepting invitations to regional events of significance.
The engagement formed part of the Court’s ongoing efforts to strengthen collaboration with governments and national judiciaries across the Caribbean. The CCJ said the visit aligns with its Strategic Plan 2025–2032, which highlights the importance of building stronger relationships with regional stakeholders.
The release said that the courtesy call also provided an opportunity for continued dialogue between the region’s highest court and government leaders as Caribbean institutions work together to support regional cooperation and development.
