During the graduation ceremony at the Faculty of Media and Communication Sciences, the Minister, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Kamal Badari, confirmed that the graduation of the first batch of students in English in various specializations of the university’s colleges and institutes, such as media and communication sciences, political sciences, economics and management sciences, and physical activities, represents “an important milestone in embodying a national strategy, which aims to direct higher education, through its various institutions and institutes, towards learning in the English language.”

Badari explained that these graduates will form “the vanguard in the path of learning in the English language,” pointing to the advantages offered by learning in this language, as it is “the language of science and technology, and the language of student mobility and openness to various sciences and knowledge,” noting “its role in internationalizing the Algerian university and enhancing its visibility.”

The minister highlighted that “the new and victorious Algeria, whose features were drawn by the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, is moving towards building a development model that makes the Algerian university student open to the world, keeping pace with scientific developments and seeking innovation and creativity.”

He added that the graduating classes represent “the nucleus of a modern, fourth-generation university that keeps pace with the needs of Algerian society, responds to the state’s priorities, and embodies public policies on the ground.”

For his part, the Director of the University of Algiers 3, Khaled Rawski, congratulated the graduating students, calling on them to “adhere to the values of integrity, innovation and hard work, and to continue their formative and educational path in the advanced stages.”

In turn, the students expressed their pride in being the first graduating class after a training course during which they relied on the English language to teach various units and knowledge. They expressed their thanks and gratitude to the pedagogical teams and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, which gave them the opportunity to excel and opened promising horizons for them through the opportunities that this living language enhances.
