Havana/The El Cabildo Cultural Center hosts a show starring Cuban comedian Rigoberto Ferrera, a key name on the national comedy scene. Popular for his work on television programs and for the creation of memorable characters that have been part of the popular imagination, Ferrera has sustained a career marked by a mixture of traditional humor, political satire and a strong capacity for improvisation. Recently, his street capsules, ironically denouncing the crisis with garbage collection in Havana, have earned him the nickname “The Whip of Communales.”
On this occasion, the public will be able to enjoy a presentation that combines monologues, interaction with attendees and comments on current Cuban reality, always from the sharp humor that characterizes the artist. Between anecdotes, cultural references and nods to his career, the show seeks to connect with those who have followed his work for decades and also with those who rediscover him on stage.
The event promises an evening full of laughter and complicity in which Ferrera will display his stage craft and his ability to move between irony, social observation and popular spark. An opportunity to meet again with an essential figure of contemporary Cuban humor and close the year with his occurrences.
