DOWASCO informs residents of Morne Rachette that construction works for a new water storage tank in Au Piton are expected to commence on or around Wednesday, July 8, 2026 and continue to the end of July 2026. During this period, there will be an increase in vehicular traffic, including huge trucks, along the main village road and the feeder road leading to the tank construction site.
Residents of Morne Rachette and visitors are therefore advised to exercise caution and patience while utilizing these roads and to anticipate potential disruptions in the free flow of traffic during this period. Motorists are therefore urged to park responsibly to mitigate this.
