Professor Minik Rosing is awarded Lätterstedt’s Nordiska Förtjänstmedalj for 2026 for his outstanding scientific efforts with his ground-breaking geological investigations in the Arctic.
The Greenlandic geologist This year, Minik Rosing receives a Nordic honorary award for his work.
The prize is awarded by the Cultural Foundation Letterstedtska Föreningen. The Swedish-based foundation has a branch in each Nordic country and annually awards a Nordic honorary award.
And this year the award goes to Minik Rosing, who is a professor at the University of Copenhagen.
Letterstedtska Föreningen writes in a press release.
The Nordic prize committee justifies the award with:
“Professor Minik Rosing, Greenland, is awarded Lätterstedt’s Nordiska Förtjänstmedalj for 2026 for his outstanding scientific efforts with his pioneering geological studies in the Arctic.”
The award ceremony will take place in the autumn.
The Culture Foundation Letterstedtska Föreningen was founded in 1875 to provide support for Nordic cultural and research work and to strengthen awareness of Nordic co-operation.
