Maulvi Abdul Matin Adil Bakhtar, Director of Culture and Arts of Herat’s Department of Information and Culture, told Bakhtar News Agency that this exhibition was organized in connection with the evaluation of artistic competitions held among artists.
According to him, this art competition was held in the last two days with the participation of 40 artists and as a result, six people won the best positions.
He said, in this exhibition, 100 works of art made by Herat artists, which include calligraphy and painting, have been put on display for art lovers.
Amar Mohammad Hashim Sharq of Ghulam Mohammad Memnagi Art School said that the purpose of this competition is to identify the artistic talents.
He added that the relevant department is trying to provide more opportunities for artists to grow, strengthen and be better introduced.
