In response to the recent earthquakes affecting Venezuela, Liberty Caribbean has announced that all mobile voice calls to the country will be zero-rated for both prepaid and postpaid customers.
The initiative, announced in a June 30, 2026 release that indicated the measure was taking immediate effect, will remain in place through July 6, providing customers with the opportunity to stay connected with loved ones in Venezuela during this difficult period.
“When communities are affected by natural disasters, the first instinct for many people is to reach the ones they love,”the Liberty release states.
“ In moments like these, a simple phone call can bring reassurance, hope and comfort. We want our customers to know that, during this difficult time, staying connected to family and friends in Venezuela should be one less thing to worry about,” Chief Commercial Officer, Liberty Caribbean, Britta Reinhardt is quoted as stating.
Liberty Caribbean are the operators of Flow, Liberty Business and BTC.
“As a Caribbean company, we know the uncertainty and anxiety that follows events like these.
“Our thoughts are with everyone affected by the earthquakes, and particularly with our colleagues, customers and the Venezuelan community across our region who are anxiously checking on loved ones. “This is a moment when connection matters most,” added Reinhardt.
The zero-rated calling initiative is available to eligible prepaid and postpaid mobile customers across Liberty Caribbean’s operating markets, including Flow and BTC, for calls placed to Venezuela during the designated support period.
