The Army of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps announced their extensive plans to support, provide security and provide services in the funeral ceremony and escort the body of the martyred leader of the Islamic Revolution.
The spokesman of the Islamic Republic of Iran Army, emphasizing the importance of holding this ceremony in a grand manner, described it as a “global campaign to condemn terrorism” and said: “The army will play a role in the fields of security, ceremonies, serving and welcoming foreign guests.”
According to Brigadier General Amir Akraminia, the security of the land and air borders of the country has been strengthened and the land, air, sea and air defense forces are in full readiness.
He also informed about the creation of four pilgrim cities in Tehran and its surroundings to accommodate and provide services to pilgrims and added: Urban and mobile army hospitals, Air Force relief teams and army support units will be deployed on the routes of pilgrims.
According to him, the cultural and media programs of the army are also implemented with axes such as the “Badraghe to Heaven” campaign, mourning ceremonies and the large presence of army forces in processions.
At the same time, the deputy of the IRGC ground force’s combat health department and the head of the health and treatment committee announced that the IRGC will deploy four advanced mobile hospitals, 30 well-equipped ambulances and 25 aid stations in Tehran, Qom and Mashhad to provide medical services to the pilgrims.
Colonel Sadegh said: These hospitals are equipped with specialized departments, including emergency room, operating room, ICU, imaging, laboratory and pharmacy, and more than 700 medical staff will work in them around the clock.
He added: Air emergency helicopters, drug and serum storage, and an emergency plan for transferring patients are also planned for the ceremony.
According to the IRGC, the funeral of the martyred leader will be held from July 13 to 18 in Tehran, Qom and Mashhad, and all medical services will be provided free of charge.
