Today, the office of the General Land Authority in Ibb Governorate handed over plans for nine new neighborhood units in four districts to the Public Works Office for implementation on reality.
The plans, which were delivered during a meeting chaired by Ibb Governor Abdul Wahed Salah, include five neighborhood units in Al-Dhahar, Al-Mishna, and Jableh districts, and four neighborhood units in Al-Qafr district.
At the meeting, Governor Salah stressed that the approval and delivery of these plans represents an important step in the process of urban development in the governorate, and reflects the interest of the local authority in urban planning that optimizes the use of land and limits the manifestations of random construction.
He pointed out that urban planning is one of the basic foundations of sustainable development, pointing out that providing integrated urban plans contributes to improving the level of services, accommodating population growth, and preparing the infrastructure for development and investment projects.
The Governor of Ibb stressed the importance of preserving the plans, and preventing any innovations or violations that hinder their implementation, directing the competent authorities to continuously coordinate to complete the opening of streets and public facilities, and implement these plans in reality.
He appreciated the efforts of the leadership and cadres of the General Land Authority branch in preparing and completing these plans, stressing the local authority’s continued support for all efforts aimed at developing the urban planning system and raising the level of institutional performance.
In turn, the Director of the Land Authority Office in the Governorate, Engineer Zayed Badir, explained that these plans represent a qualitative addition to the urban planning system, and contribute to directing urban development and reducing random construction and violations, in a way that raises the level of services in the targeted areas.
He touched on the role of the Public Works Office and the concerned authorities in preserving the approved plans and proceeding with the construction of border streets and facilities according to the approved designs.
Engineer Badir confirmed that during the next phase, new plans will be completed in a number of districts, in line with the needs of development and urban expansion.
