Dover actor Godoi Buzoni, selected to compose the supporting cast of “Dark Horse“, film based on the life of former president Jair Bolsonarotold the column that the film’s team did not contextualize it at any time regarding the production theme.
According to him, the advertisements published in the figuration groups only said that it would be a foreign work shot in São Paulo. Only when he reached the film setwho was at the Indianópolis Hospital, in the capital of São Paulo, discovered the plot of the film.
He said that recordings began in early November 2025. The casting director would have arranged with the actor for him to arrive at 10:30 am on a Monday, but called him at 7 am asking for his presence. Dover, who lives in Santo André, in ABC São Paulo, said he could only attend at the agreed time.
On set, the artist was reportedly informed that he would play the role of a police officer and given a uniform. He says he found the atmosphere strange when he arrived at the place, as his colleagues who started earlier seemed upset.
“I asked one of the actresses what the production was and she told me it was Bolsonaro’s biopic, which at the time I didn’t even know existed,” he says. He says he only believed it when his colleague showed him a clipboard with the names of the former president’s children. According to him, no one else among the extras seemed surprised. “I was the only one who discovered it at that moment. Then I understood why many of them were grumpy from an early age”, he speculates.
According to Dover, it is normal in the industry not to disclose the name or plot of the film when searching for the cast so that information does not leak. But he says that it is customary to talk to the actors about the general themes of the works before recording, especially on sensitive subjects or those that may cause discomfort to the actors. “The face and name are mine, I decide where they will be”, he says.
“They said it was a hospital scene and that they needed the roles of nurse, doctor and police officer. And that was practically it. Every audiovisual production has the right to maintain confidentiality, but it is important to contextualize some things in advance so that the person does not waste time and transportation on it”, says the artist.
Wanted, Karina Gamaowner of Go Up Entertainment, producer of “Dark Horse”stated that the admission of extras was carried out by companies specializing in casting, which would be responsible for recruitment, hiring and payment.

Dover says that, after the discovery, he contacted the team to let them know that he would not be part of the filming. At least two other production employees, he said, appeared apprehensive when they were informed of the film’s plot and said they also did not want to participate.
The artist was released by the set manager on the same day, but reports that some of his colleagues who continued recording even ate spoiled food, a complaint included in the report. dossier prepared by Sated-SP (Union of Artists and Technicians in Entertainment Shows in the State of São Paulo) with allegations of mistreatment of the cast of “Dark Horse“.
The accusations also include moral harassment, fee below market standard and the provision of only one snack kit for eight hours of work. Dover stated that they offered him a daily rate of R$170, the same amount that appears in the union document as the remuneration of the film’s supporting cast. The extras report having received R$100 per day.
The Sated-SP collective agreement for the period 2026/2027 sets the daily rate for the supporting cast in productions of cinema in R$500.00, while the extras’ remuneration would be R$227.14.
Karina Gama declared to the column that the contract values would be within the standards practiced by the market for large-scale international cinematographic productions and that the production followed the usual protocols of the audiovisual industry.
