Thiruvananthapuram ∙ With the revelation of irregularity in the rank list for the 3 chief posts in the Planning Board, in the last 5 years PSC Many important examinations and interviews conducted are in doubt. The new finding also adds strength to the allegations leveled earlier against rank lists such as Kerala Administrative Service, Assistant Information Officer and DySP. The PSC, which used to reject all the allegations, is now ready to investigate as it has no other options.
In the belief that the LDF government will continue to govern for the third time, the suspicion that the PSC members and a section of officials and organization leaders have made misguided deals in the rank lists in the last 5 years is now getting stronger.
Suspicions had already been raised about the mass infiltration of LDF workers and supporters in the KAS and Assistant Information Officer rank lists, but neither the government nor the PSC pretended to listen. The PSC rule is that the marks of the exam should not be published without the interview. However, the marks of many examinations are regularly taken over by the PSC members themselves by influencing the officials. This has helped some candidates to get more marks in the interviews by influencing the members politically.
3 PSC members had demanded that they be exempted from the last interview for the now controversial Planning Board Chief post. There was so much influence from the political leaders to give more marks to those who needed them. Candidates have complained that there was a serious procedural violation in the examination for the post of Research Officer in the Department of Economics and Statistics conducted on 18th of this month. The syllabus was changed and the mark weightage revised without informing the candidates. For 54 questions out of 100, the correct answer was option B.
English Summary:
