Actress Eva Grin had an accident on the set of the third season of the Netflix hit series “Wednesday”, after which she was rushed to the hospital due to a leg injury.
The French actress, who joined the cast of the popular series as Ophelia Adams, reportedly suffered an injury during filming near Dublin, where production of the new season is currently underway.
A source close to the production said the situation was serious.
“The injury was quite inconvenient. Eva felt severe pain, and the producers did not want to leave anything to chance. Doctors were called immediately, after which she was transported to the hospital. Fortunately, she was successfully treated and is now recovering well,” said the source.
Due to the incident, filming was temporarily suspended, and the production schedule had to be changed so that the actress could recover.
Eva Grin (45), known for her role as Vesper Lind in the 2006 film “Casino Royale,” previously said she can’t wait to join the world of the Adams family.
“I can’t wait to bring my dose of craziness to the Addams family. This series has the perfect combination of dark humor and quirky atmosphere,” said the actress.

“Netflix” series “Wednesday” gets a big boost in the third season
Her role as the mysterious Aunt Ofelia was confirmed at the end of last year. The character was announced at the end of the previous season, when she was shown writing the message: “Wednesday must die.” After that, the main character gets Ophelia’s diary and starts having disturbing psychic visions.
The series “Wednesday”, starring Jenna Ortega and Catherine Zeta-Jones, became the most watched Netflix series in the English language, while on a global level it was surpassed only by the Korean series “Squid Game”.
The second season brought guest appearances by Lady Gaga and Billie Piper, while several episodes are directed by the famous Tim Barton.
According to sources, Netflix is investing huge funds in the production of the series.
“”Wednesday” is one of the highest priorities of the Netflix company. Since it became a worldwide hit, the producers are doing everything to keep the filming details a secret. The budget is huge and many famous actors have been hired,” said the source.
It is estimated that each episode costs around £15m to produce.
By the way, this is not the first time that the filming of the series has been interrupted. In 2023, the production of the second season was stopped due to Hollywood screenwriters’ strikes, while actress Tora Birč had to leave the project due to family reasons.
In 2023, Eva Grin also won a lawsuit against the production company White Lantern Film due to a fee of 810,000 pounds for the science fiction film “A Patriot”, which was never made. The court ruled in her favor, and the actress was awarded 1.2 million pounds to cover court costs.
After the verdict, she stated that she was satisfied that “justice prevailed” and accused the producers of trying to unfairly blame her for the failure of the project.
