Condemning Pakistan’s airstrikes on the east of the country, the spokesperson of the Taliban has announced that they are considering “tougher” options, including closing the Pakistani embassy in Kabul, and has emphasized that the group’s response to Islamabad’s attacks will be “teeth-breaking”.
Zabihullah Mujahid, the spokesperson of the Taliban, in a recent media interview, emphasizing the priority of dialogue and restraint, said that Kabul “does not want tensions to get out of control on both sides”, but if Pakistan’s attacks continue, “blocking the Pakistani embassy in Kabul” will be one of the serious options on the table.
Mujahid added that “at present, the Taliban government should be patient”, but the continuation of Islamabad’s behavior will push Kabul towards tougher decisions.
He has also warned that the Taliban government’s response to Pakistan’s invasion will be “teeth-breaking” at the right time; However, he did not explain the nature of this answer.
According to the announcement of the Taliban government, 36 people including women and children were martyred and 163 others were injured in the recent attacks of Pakistan on Kunar, Paktia and Paktika provinces.
