Comayagua, Honduras
A couple was shot to death this Sunday afternoon on a lonely street in the area of The Cablotecommunity of Slabsin the department of Comayagua.
The victims were identified as Danilo Flores and Aracely Ramirezwho died at the scene due to the severity of the injuries caused by the gunshots.
According to preliminary versions, both were in the area when they were intercepted by armed individuals. The attackers shot them multiple times and subsequently fled the scene in an unknown direction.
Neighbors in the area alerted the authorities after hearing several gunshots. Minutes later, police officers traveled to the scene to verify what happened.
Upon arrival, they confirmed that the two people no longer had vital signs. The scene was cordoned off to preserve possible evidence that could help solve the crime.
Forensic Medicine and criminal investigation personnel also went to the scene to remove the bodies and collect evidence.
So far, authorities have not reported any possible arrests related to the double homicide.
