Miami/Daymé Arocena arrives in Miami with an intimate concert at the Sala Catarsis of the Trail Theater presented by Díktuon. Arocena will perform part of her repertoire on the piano, accompanied by “voices and some acoustic instruments, in a close, elegant and deeply emotional format,” according to the event’s promotion.
The artist, considered one of the most innovative voices in contemporary Afro-Caribbean jazz, returns to the stages of Miami with an intimate concert that promises to be one of the most vibrant musical events of the month. Additionally, she is known for masterfully fusing jazz, soul, Afro-Cuban rhythms and musical spirituality in a unique proposal that has captivated international critics.
Her powerful voice, her charisma and her ability to connect Yoruba spiritual traditions with sound experimentation have made her an essential reference in contemporary Cuban music.
