The Finest Cultural Gifts From China — Cultural and Tourism Trade Promotion Activity, featuring a special session on cultural exchange, will take place in Beijing on June 24.
The event brings together policymakers, industry leaders and cultural practitioners to explore new opportunities in cultural trade and international cooperation.
It is hosted by the Department of Industrial Development of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Department of Services for Foreign Ministry Home and Overseas Offices, the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism, and the Dongcheng district.
The event aims to support national diplomatic priorities and Beijing’s role as an international exchange hub. It will focus on culture and tourism trade promotion and industrial cooperation, providing a platform to advance international economic engagement and strengthen people-to-people ties. By facilitating direct dialogue between Chinese suppliers and global buyers, the event seeks to unlock new pathways for cultural exports and cross-border partnerships.
The Finest Cultural Gifts From China is a signature trade promotion initiative developed by the tourism and culture ministry’s Department of Industrial Development. It showcases a curated selection of high-quality, market-ready culture and tourism products with distinctive Chinese elements, bringing together Chinese and foreign enterprises, buyers, cross-border e-commerce platforms, and media to facilitate supply-demand matchmaking and business agreements. The initiative reflects a broader push to integrate cultural heritage with modern commerce, turning traditional crafts and creative designs into globally competitive products.
Since 2022, 18 sessions have been held in China and abroad, covering Chinese-style cultural and creative products, fashion, creative lifestyle goods, intangible cultural heritage, and time-honored brands. Those sessions have facilitated business partnerships and helped Chinese cultural products gain traction in markets across Southeast Asia, Europe and the Middle East.
Diplomatic envoys from more than 10 countries across Asia, Africa, Europe, and South America, along with officials from international organizations, representatives of international chambers of commerce and business associations, overseas buyers, and enterprise delegates are expected to attend. Over 30 high-quality domestic culture and tourism enterprises will participate in product roadshows, display and experience sessions, and business matchmaking, showcasing offerings across cultural and creative derivatives, intangible cultural heritage techniques, digital technology, home and lifestyle products, stage equipment, and cross-border commerce and logistics. The event also aims to align supply with demand and help outstanding enterprises, products, and brands expand into overseas markets.
