The President of the Republic of Armenia Vahagn Khachaturyan met with the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon within the framework of his working visit to Kazakhstan.
How? “Armenpress”– learns from the message issued by the RA President’s office, the presidents emphasized with satisfaction that the relations between the two countries are developing with stable and positive dynamics, including various directions of interaction.
At the same time, it was emphasized on both sides that there is a significant, yet not fully realized potential, the full use of which requires targeted and consistent steps, as well as the expansion of joint initiatives.
During the conversation, the parties made a detailed reference to the regional developments, emphasizing that after the events of August 2025, a qualitatively new situation was formed in the South Caucasus. In this context, it was noted that the created realities open new opportunities for the region and neighboring countries to rethink their cooperation and build it on more predictable, mutually beneficial and long-term foundations.
The importance of peace, stability and development of communications as an important prerequisite for economic activity and deepening of mutual ties was especially emphasized.
During the meeting, the presidents exchanged ideas on ways to expand cooperation in the economy, high technologies and artificial intelligence, agriculture, education and science, as well as other promising fields. The promotion of innovations, the development of scientific and educational ties, the exchange of professional experience and best practices, as well as the implementation of joint programs that can contribute to the economic growth and competitiveness of both countries were highlighted.
The parties also emphasized the continuous strengthening of cooperation on international and regional platforms, stressing the need for effective use of multilateral formats. In this context, the promotion of comparable agendas was emphasized, as well as the convergence of positions on issues of common interest, for the benefit of both countries and wider regional stability.
At the end of the meeting, the presidents reaffirmed their readiness to continue the development and deepening of bilateral relations, bringing them to a qualitatively new level.
